About Us

The Cumberland Crate Company is a Vancouver Island based company that uses sustainably sourced, value added BC lumber to create quality, long lasting handmade products. 

Our company was formed in 2013 when we recognized the need for quality wooden crates in households, offices and retail environments. Soon we were working with clients from a wide range of industries including beer/wine, retail display and branding companies. We developed our digital design skills, scaled up our production capabilities and trained brilliant people to do great things. 

Now, as we near a decade in business, we have worked with hundreds of small, medium and large companies. We have found our niche designing and building custom retail display units, branded promotional packaging and gifts and custom POP and POS solutions. Our manufacturing clients include Lush Handmade Cosmetics, Fresh Street Markets, Banff Gondola and Jasper Park Lodge.

We still sell the boxes that helped build our company. In fact, we even have a retail store in Courtenay BC, attached to the very shop where all of our products are made.
